Safe Use of Aluminium Phosphides for Vertebrate Pest Control

A one day course covering all aspects of using Aluminium Phosphides for the control of vertebrate pests. It is a legal requirement that all those who use Aluminium Phosphides for Vertebrate Pest Control hold a Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of Aluminium Phosphides. This can be achieved by successfully completing an NPTC City & Guilds Assessment following the training.

Rodent Management Level 2

A one day course covering all aspects of the control of rats and mice. Looking at the legal requirements, biology and behaviour of the pests and necessary record keeping. The course ends with a multi-choice question paper, which upon successful completion a Certificate of Competence will be issued which allows the candidate to purchase and use the product.

Rabbit and Mole Control - Trapping

This half day course is aimed at candidates who wish to develop their skills in controlling rabbits and moles using physical methods. It provides a full working knowledge of both preventative and curative methods to be able to plan, implement and monitor a control programme that is appropriate to the specific situation using efficient and safe methods and with due regard to the environment.

Grey Squirrel Control – one-day course

This course is designed to give candidates a full working knowledge of both preventive and curative methods so that they can plan, implement and monitor a control programme that is appropriate to their situation using efficient and safe methods and with due regard to the environment.

Insect Control

A one-day course available for the control of flies and other flying insects in livestock housing. A two day course available for the control of domestic insects, covering wasps, bees, flies, cockroaches, bed bugs and fabric and food bugs.T A certificate of competence issued at the end of the integrated training and assessment course, provided the required standard is met.

Safe Use of Pyrotechnics for Bird Control – half day

Covering all aspects of the safe use of rope bangers and rockets; potentially dangerous methods of control.
